Premium Hardwood Charcoal 1KG
SLCC had come up with the 1KG packed Premium Hardwood Charcoal for the convenience of our consumers.
Our charcoal is produced from well managed sustainable plantation. The moisture content is maintained between 5- 6%. It is low in white smoke, does not emit black smoke, low in tar, non-greasy, and no bad odour from different wood species. It has constant heating strength and lasts longer when burnt as compared to ordinary charcoal. The thickness of the charcoal is evenly cut for easy usage and there are no odd sizes. Our charcoal is hygienically packed and easy to handle. There is no wet charcoal in our product and we sell our charcoal at correct weight and there is no extra underweight. No artificial charcoals with chemical additive are present in our products. It can last up to 15 hours with normal burning strength.
The Process of Baking Charcoal
The heavy density high crystallize carbonized charcoal is produced from trees harvested and approved by the appropriate governmental department. Each tree that fell will be replanted by 5 trees to ensure sustainability. Trees will only be fell 3 km away from shoreline to ensure an ecological balance.
The logs are then transported to the manufacturing factory and being unloaded neatly alongside the charcoal kiln. A charcoal kiln has the capacity to hold about 30 metric tons (30,000 KG) of wood. The loading of logs will take approximately 2 days to fill the entire kiln. The entrance of the kiln will then be sealed with cement. This is to prevent air from entering the kiln during the baking process.
Due to the baking process, of the 30 metric tons, only 60-70% of the total volume crystallizes into charcoal. The fire that is burning at the kiln will have to go on for 24 hours non-stop at a temperature varies from 700 to 800 degree Celsius for approximately 60 days until the charcoal is being baked.
The kiln is then left there to cool for about 14 days before extracting the charcoal out. The charcoal will then be stored in the warehouse for further quality checking. It will then be packed into 30 kg polystyrene bags and send by trucks then into containers to various buyers at different destinations.
Re-grading and re-packaging process takes place after receiving the goods. Each pack is further being repackaged into smaller packaging to be sold in the retail outlets. Each bag is hygienically packed and weighed to the exact required weight. As part of the green movement and being eco- friendly, we have had our charcoal packed in paper bags. It not only reduces the usage of plastic bags, the paper bags are to be re-used or re-cycled.
Each piece of charcoal does not come easily.
Please treasure them.
